SPIRITUAL SCORES WITH THE WCF

Music has always held a relevant tone of inspiration and deeper note of reverence within our Lord’s worship service. As a community, we seek to elevate our thoughts, voices, and hearts through our favorite hymns, bible characters, scriptural passages, and prayerful psalms put to music.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 
Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100

Scripture is laced with many recorded examples, orchestrating just how much music plays a keynote in amplifying faith. With the Song of Miriam, we learn how miraculous events and stories can pass from generation to generation through lyrical tracks of divine deliverance and remembrance. Through Saul, we see how a simple, soulful arrangement can dissipate the sharp, dissonant mind and flow with soft strokes on the harp toward a more peaceful composure and restful spirit. In the Psalms of David and the chief musicians, we find attuned scores to glorify, encourage, cheer, and keep our faith strong in the presence of scaling trials, danger, worries, and adversity. With His grand gift of music, we bring our lives into greater harmony and one accord with our Heavenly Father.

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Declare His glory among the nations,
