WCF’s Newcomers program supports believers who arrive in North America under the temporary care of resettlement agencies.
These families come from troubled areas of the world where they may have experienced hardships such as war and extreme poverty. Once here they are placed in cities across North America where they face new challenges. Often they have no network of support, either spiritual or practical.
The goal of our program is to connect newcomers with the nearest ecclesia so that they know right away that there is a family of faith here who will both embrace and encourage them. This connection can make all the difference for newly arrived brothers, sisters, and young people who need fellowship as they become established, and create new roots. With this kind of help, they are able to give back to their new ecclesial family, creating a network of love and fellowship all to the glory of God.
