Conversation Guide

In the beginning, open conversation may be awkward, therefore the following guide has been developed. This guide provides practical suggestions to help direct the conversations around personal Faith Development.

First Conversation 

  • Encourage each conversation to start with a short prayer

  • Sharing of Mentor and Mentee daily  life… that is...getting to know each other

  • Mutually shared thoughts on the recent FaithLaunch content 

  • Review Mentors Faith LifeLine - with free-flowing discussion

Second Conversation 

  • Mutually shared thoughts on the recent FaithLaunch content

  • Review Mentee Faith LifeLine with free-flowing discussion

  • Plan for the next conversation: the Mentee should complete the  Self Assessment of faith balance / Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) 

Third Conversation 

  • Mutually shared thoughts on the FaithLaunch content

  • Mentor sharing  stories of Faithfulness they have witnessed 

  • Review of the Mentee Self Assessment of faith balance / Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) 

  • Mentor shares examples of significant answers to prayer 

Fourth Conversation and Beyond 

  • Personal Life Updates

  • Discussion of Mentee’ Personal Faith Development Strategies and Action Plan

Fifth Discussion and Beyond

  • Personal Life Updates 

  • Progress made to Faith Action Plan
