WCF is grateful to the many individuals who dedicate their time, talents, and energy to growing faith in our community.

“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.” - Deuteronomy 15:7-8

WCF Mentorship Project Team

WCF has a team of volunteers who are developing a plan for our Faith Mentorship Program.

Mentorship involves a deliberate connection between experienced, faithful servants of Christ and participants. The participants will select a Faith Mentor that they trust and with whom they feel comfortable discussing their faith challenges. Mentors will share stories, experiences, lessons, insights, and guidance; along with providing spiritual support, scriptural perspectives, and general encouragement.

Stay tuned for more information once it has been fully developed to see how you can get involved.

Here are a couple of members on the team.

White Fields Volunteers

Thank you to the team of four sisters who recently returned from their field work in Cambodia! They had an abundance of energy and creativity while teaching the children!

WCF’s Prepare-to-Preach (P2P) Team

Traveling to South Africa, Lord Willing, in July

The P2P team, consisting of six members from ecclesias in the UK, Germany, and Australia will be traveling, Lord willing, to South Africa in July for two weeks. They will be assisting the Scheeper, Furstenburg, and Viljoen families and brethren with the many efforts they lead in and around Cape Town.

The team will be teaching a wide range of children’s Bible classes, including Sunday School, Kingdom Kids, and planned Youth Camps. Some of the topics will include lessons from the lives of David, Abigail, and Saul as well as lessons from the book of Titus. Along with these lessons, they will be leading corresponding crafts, activities, and games for the children. Some of the sisters will be providing additional support in teaching the online sisters’ classes.

The P2P team will be able to visit, fellowship, and assist two ecclesias in the area during this time. In addition to providing classes to children and sisters, they will also be able to provide basic assistance to the surrounding communities by providing love and play stimulating educational games at a safe house for orphans, participate in a Clean-up for Christ (C4C) initiative, and help with Cuddle Trust programs.

“The value that is added to our projects when we have the extra support can be seen long after the group has left.” - Bro. Michael Furstenburg

Please pray for the team’s safe travel and for the support they are providing to our brothers and sisters in South Africa with their many amazing outreach efforts.

The Garden Project - “Boxes of Love” Manager

Do you have great administrative and organizational skills with a passion to help others that you can use from home? The Garden Project is looking for a volunteer to join their team.

The team could use assistance managing one of their on-going initiatives called, "Boxes of Love" as well as provide additional support as needed, such as writing social media content, and brainstorming new initiative ideas.

This is not a time-intensive role but it does require someone who is organized, can work both independently and within a team, bring positive energy to the team, and should be comfortable using online tools such as Zoom, Slack, and email.

The role includes receiving grant requests by email, sending acknowledgment and thank you emails, coordinating with our WCF Treasurer, Virginia, to send the funds, writing content for blog posts and a few email blasts, and attending monthly virtual meetings. It does require some level of creativity and ideally, some knowledge or experience in outreach, but certainly not a mandatory requirement.

Hymn 426

“We plough the fields, and scatter
The good seed on the land,
But it is fed and watered
By God’s Almighty hand”
