As the year has come to an end we were fortunate enough to have many activities happening at Aphiwe and also with people we have come to know through the Aphiwe Good news centre.
Our Sunday school and youth group as kept on growing and we have a good number of regular attendants. For our year end outing we took a number of children to go play LazerTag, always having a challenge with transport we had to make a limit for the amount of kids we could take. It is always so difficult to pick you goes and who stays.
We had about 17 children play lasertag, together with some volunteers who were here at the time. Pizza was bought for lunch, one girl who is already 15 said to me ” This is so lovely, I have never been to a mall before and this is my first time eating pizza! it is delicious!” , it made me realize how much I take for granted, just being able to hop in a car and drive to a mall and not even thinking much about ordering pizza online and having it delivered to my home.
The children loved the lasertag, smiles, screams, laughs and pure exhaustion from running around in a dark enclosed room. Although we had a lot of fun, this was a great way for the kids to bond and also show their Christ-like attitude when it came to playing a game, winning and losing.
