Our Congolese brothers and sisters in the Pretoria ecclesia remain steadfast despite challenges such as Xenophobia, refugee status, unemployment etc. Even more encouraging is the fact that there are students coming to the ecclesia and to Bro Paderi during the week to learn more about the Gospel.
Good news: two of these students ( Jaques Biolenjanya and Babula Msambelwa ) have asked to be interviewed for baptism.
Bro Paderi is in the process of receiving his South African citizenship; this will enhance his current preaching work. The Sunday school has grown and brings an interesting logistical challenge. The creativity of sister Leona is quite remarkable in this regard as the Sunday school class takes place on the balcony!!
With the help of some brethren and sisters overseas, we provide the brethren with much appreciated food parcels from time to time. For many of them who are struggling to find work, the food parcels are a welcome relief.
We continue to thank God for his blessings in the work we are privileged to do and the way the Gospel is also setting a lot of these brethren and sisters free on a variety of ways in their lives.
Your brother and sister in Christ’s service,
Lucas and Leona
