Sometimes in life we come across situations which remind us how we should be about our great hope. one of our students provides a reminder 3 nights a week, when he diligently seeks to know more about God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Our new brother, has asked to study revelation and as a background to it, we are enjoying looking at how symbolic language is used in the Bible, and how time periods are used etc.
He is taking very seriously the last message that the Lord sent to his servants, as we should.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John… Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

LEARNING AND ADAPTING
We always find it interesting how different cultures function, and the sub cultures within them. here we have come across a situation where it is actions which are regarded, and words are just considered a show. For example, assistance for travel was offered but refused. we asked for some guidance on the situation and were told that in the culture concerned, if you ask it’s considered you are just talking but aren’t really serious about your offer. But if you give it into their hand then you are serious. How’s that!
