We love supporting good projects! If you know of a good idea that isn’t getting done simply because it lacks funding, you should ask us about getting involved. WCF funds projects all over the world, in particular when there’s a shortfall in funds, or no funding at all.
WCF’s mission is “serving the household of faith, and preaching the gospel to the world”. Put another way, we want to help out where people lack the things they need, and we want to teach people about the Bible. We can fund anything that fits in that mission.
If you’ve got a plan that fits our mission, send a proposal. A proposal simply needs to be complete enough to:
- Explain or describe the objective.
- Present the steps or process you foresee to achieve the objective.
- Show the total cost, a breakout of the components in that cost, and the portion of that cost you’d like WCF to cover (could be 100%).
In general, the more funding you need, the more information the directors will ask for. For instance, if the need is less than $1,000 and the objective is clear, a single page could easily be detailed enough. On the other hand, if the need is more like $50,000, we’ll want to make sure there’s a solid plan involved, with detailed accounting and milestones.
In any case, we’re not a bureaucracy. There’s no fixed system for doing this. If you’re not sure whether your project merits a propoal, just start a friendly conversation by email firstname.lastname@example.org, and if there’s a way to become partners, we’ll figure it out together!
