White Fields Reports - July 2009 Malcolm & Suhasini Scott - India
The first theme was intended to provide some practical lessons of discipleship and while this was primarily for our Brothers and Sisters there are an abundant number of lessons in this practical book for anyone who is willing read and learn. The 2nd series of studies were designed to open up the gospel to the contacts who came from Hindu and traditional Church backgrounds. Linda Reding - Jamaica
It has been a busy two months, with classes 4 days a week during the day for the young adults and activities almost every evening with the Sunday school students. Thursday is generally a day off. That’s when we all take care of chores like cleaning clothes and shaving bushes. We have goten to the ocean a few times with various groups of young people. Jamie Holder - India
June and July have been very busy months, involving a fair bit of travel around Southern India. In early June, I travelled to the east coast to visit a couple of ecclesias. First stop was Rajahmundry and Kaddium. In Kaddium, I stayed with Brother Andrew and Sister Shuba Johnson who run the Christadelphian Faith Home. The home has 13 children (plus their own daughter). They also run Faith School, which is open to the wider community. The home has recently had a sister from Canada staying with them, facilitated through Agape in Action. Sister Marley has also been assisting with teaching at the school. Faith Home has been open for three to four years, while the school has just started its second year. I have been invited back to spend some more time there, helping at the school. This will most likely happen in October or November. |
