White Fields Reports - May 2009 Cameron and Kim Beeler - South Africa
To begin, Paul and Jane Zilmer of Champaign, Illinois preceded us in our efforts here in South Africa and did an excellent transfer of processes for managing the Bible Education Center (BEC) here in Durban. The BEC was really hoppin a couple of weeks prior to mothers day and we had around 40 people signup for our correspondence courses, including "God's Master Plan", and our Bible Basics series. One statement I hear over and over goes like this...I've been a Christian for 20 years and now I am finally learning what the Bible Says! This is amazing to me, especially with the willingness I see over and over again, to change beliefs when the witness of the Bible is made clear. Every day we are meeting new friends who are truly desiring to know the truth of the Word of God. Linda Reding - Jamaica
I arrived in Montego Bay on April 10 and was greeted by the three young men who have become my sons; Bulky who drives the van over hill, dale and raging river, Jason who carries the burden of Recording Brother and Marcel who grasps Scriptural concepts in the blink of an eye. Jamie Holder - India
My time in India is passing very quickly! It feels both as if I have just arrived and as if I have been here for a long time. Having Malcolm and Suhasini Scott here has been a great help to me in terms of settling in to life in India. I have also been blessed that events have led to me spending 10 days and nights at the Shunem Children’s Home, enabling me to get to know some of the local Brothers and Sisters quickly. Most of my time in India so far has been spent in two main areas. Teaching at the two Vacation Bible Schools and working in the Mission Office. Ken Easson - Bangladesh
I'm not sure where to begin. Living and working in Bangladesh is truly a rewarding challenge. Preaching programs and classes are held every day, in various parts of Dhaka city, some only a few minutes walking distance from our home, some hours away in traffic jams by 3 wheeler (known here as CNG's) or taxi's. |
