Salli is a caregiver who lives in Stockton, California. Salli has been striving to make an ever more meaningful relationship with her Creator for the last few years. She studied literature from the Jehovah’s Witnesses for a while, but was dubious of their teaching of the Devil as a physical supernatural being.

Salli’s longtime friend Sis Yvonne Sharp was baptized in 2004 after studying the Gospel of Peace classes during 2003. Yvonne introduced Salli to the same study classes, which Salli undertook from Feb to Nov 2005 in her home, in Manteca, and later in Stockton, after moving house.

Praise be to our Loving Father that, in completion of her studies, Salli chose to join the family of the faithful and be baptized!

Salli was immersed on a sunny December afternoon at the home of Bro Erik and Sis Sharon Sternad in Elk Grove, California. A small group of brethren from the local Sacramento and San Francisco Peninsula (SFP) ecclesias witnessed the baptism. As it happens, Erik and Sharon’s house was the venue where the first incarnation of this series of classes was conducted during 2001-2002.

Bro Erik provided a short exhortation concerning the comforts and benefits that are to be found in a community of likeminded people all aiming to serve the Lord and, equally importantly, helping each other through the struggles and trials we each face as we endeavour to do so.
