Consider a Donation to WCF

It’s that time of year when those of us who have been materially blessed by our heavenly Father are prompted to think about what (further) tax-deductible contributions we can make. There are many, many causes worthy of our donations, especially in the Brotherhood. One area for consideration is the Williamsburg Christadelphian Foundation. As the name implies, WCF was established to benefit the Christadelphian community by being a charity resource for the needs of the saints and providing funding for worthy projects, all under the umbrella of a tax-exempt foundation.

For example, besides attending to charitable needs in the USA and Canada, WCF provides modest pastoral support for the Brothers and Sisters in Jamaica. It will also continue to serve as a vehicle for funds earmarked for their assistance. This is comparable to the service provided for hurricane relief in 1988.

WCF has just distributed over two thousand tape-library catalogs to the brethren in North America. The catalog was designed to facilitate finding the desired speaker or subject, and comes with a handy scripture index. It provides an easy, inexpensive way for Brothers and Sisters to obtain recordings from gatherings and Bible Schools etc. they couldn’t attend or to get talks they want to hear again. The WCF tape library houses a wealth of Bible understanding, ready to be shared with the Christadelphian community.

Besides our charity arm and extensive tape library services, WCF has addressed needs that go beyond the usual activities of ecclesias. We use state-of-the-art video production capabilities for preaching videos, encouraging missionary efforts, etc. In 1993, WCF co-sponsored a ‘spiritual survival workshop’ in Toronto, which produced good fruit, including a valuable resource manual. More workshops are planned.

WCF depends on donations to continue its work, and we invite you to send your tax deductible (in US and Canada) contributions to George Booker, 2500 Berwyn Circle, Austin, TX, USA 78745, or Alan Ghent, 4829 Owl Circle, Mississauga, ON, Canada, L4Z 2P7.
