WCF* has two primary objectives:

To accomplish these objectives, the Foundation:

Your prayers and monetary support for WCF projects are appreciated. Donations earmarked for charitable works are directed 100% to that purpose.

(The Williamsburg Christadelphian Foundation is directed by a seven-member board and augmented by a network of "fellow-workers". WCF is volunteer-driven.)

Examples of some WCF Projects that are ...

Welfare Support in Eastern Europe

WCF continues to support the pastoral work and welfare distribution led by Brother Duncan Heaster and his companions in Eastern Europe and elsewhere. In the past year, WCF has sent a total of $15,215, most of which reflects donations designated for that purpose. In an e-mail, Duncan wrote: "I was so overjoyed to hear about the kind donation from WCF for welfare issues… I am very careful of offering regular support to poor folk but there are some cases where they cannot work through illness or old age, or where there are young children involved, where I do not see any way other than to give regular welfare support. There are 2 cases in Lithuania and 2 families in Latvia…".

WCF Website Literature (www.wcfoundation.org)

Every week, the WCF web site gets requests for the free booklet "John Thomas and his Rediscovery of Bible Truth". Sometimes one of the Discover Your Bible booklets is also requested, although the full set of 16 lessons is available for printing on-line. While most of the queries come from the USA and Canada, this past year the WCF Resource Center has mailed out material to people in Guyana, Brazil, Chile, Netherlands, Switzerland, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Nigeria, South Africa, Iran, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Every internet inquiry provides an opportunity for another 'seed' to be planted.

Conflict in the Middle East - Video Tape Offering

Brother Phil Kapusta of the Richmond Chapel Ecclesia hosts a website which offers the WCF video Conflict in the Middle East - to be Resolved by God. For a nominal fee to subsidize postage costs, the video has been mailed to interested respondents. Recently, Phil determined to more aggressively promote the video, and WCF assisted by providing tapes @$5US (half the normal price). Demand picked up, so Phil ordered more. Then came the events of September 11th, and requests flooded in from those looking for answers in a world of turmoil. Over 200 tapes later, Bro. Phil is now catching his breath, and looking to supply the entire The Middle East and Your Future series.

Audio Tape Library Services

Each summer, there is an influx of new North American Bible School tapes (classes and lectures) added to the WCF audio tape library. Along with the various Gathering, Study Day and Bible workshop recordings collected during the year, duplicates of these tapes are made available to Brothers and Sisters at cost + postage. The full catalog collection is viewable on-line by speaker or by subject. Orders can be placed by e-mail request to tape-orders@wcfoundation.org, writing to WCF Resource Center, P.O. Box 88, Deland, IL 61839, or calling 1-217-664-3511 (US only).

Fellow-workers are performing audio 'quality-assurance' and content review of their favorite tapes and classes. This effort entails listening to the entire tape, evaluating the sound quality and commenting on its content (e.g., relevance to a particular age group). The results of this effort will be posted on the same page as the tape catalog on the www.wcfoundation.org website. If you are interested in helping out in this activity, contact Brother Ray Pratt (rpratt@net66.com).

...Helping the Household + Preaching the Truth

Music CD for Shunem Home

The promoters of the CD called "Recounting His Praise - the word of God in music" requested and obtained underwriting from WCF for the compact disc production and distribution. The music presentation is the second album by the Handsworth Christadelphian Ecclesia in Birmingham, England. The price of the CD is $15US, with net proceeds to be sent to the Shunem Home project in India. To obtain your copy, write to Brother Anthony Green, 319 E. Mulberry St., Bloomington, IL 61701, phone him at 309-820-9018, or e-mail to mrmrs.green@verizon.net.

Sponsorship of Ireland video

Third in a WCF-sponsored series called "God's Family Around the World", this video about Christadelphian brethren in Ireland is titled "Strangers in a Strange Land". Produced by Brother Stephen Johnson and his son Jared, this 56-minute program presents the lives and thoughts of the Brothers and Sisters as they deal with the challenge of living in a Roman Catholic culture. Comments from individuals and family members are concisely edited to build an interesting and instructive story of how faith and confidence in God have overcome fear and real-life obstacles. Every person who previewed the draft version said that he/she was exhorted by the testimony of these Irish brethren.

The program is to be distributed to every ecclesia in North America and be made available in PAL format overseas. Donations to cover duplication and distribution expenses will be solicited, and proceeds above the net cost will be put toward funding the following project (next paragraph).

God willing, the next program in the series will feature the brethren in India and their preaching and pastoral activities. Brother Stephen has agreed to make the journey in late December, and will be guided by Brother Tim Galbraith and assisted by Brother Chris Wubbels. Contributions toward the cost of this project (travel, production, duplication and distribution) can be earmarked "India" and sent to Ray Pratt, 335 North Western, P.O. Box 86, Deland, IL 61839.

Bible Prophecy 101 - Seminar Material

A six-week seminar called Bible Prophecy 101 was held at the Chicago ecclesia beginning Sept. 18, 2001. The timing was providential. It was presented along the lines of a 'learn-to-read-the-Bible-effectively' seminar, using PowerPoint software and a multimedia projector. Participants indicated that they liked the slideshow graphics and corresponding handouts (2 slides per page; points shown with Bible text). They also found the summary diagrams and the end-of-each-session quiz as helpful reinforcements.

Brethren from a number of ecclesias have already asked for an electronic version of the presentation for their own use and adaptation. Therefore, to facilitate use and distribution of the material, WCF has agreed to place the full 6-week slideshow on its web server, from where the PowerPoint presentations can be downloaded (will need 5mb of space).

WCF Projects You Can Help With

Brother Tom Thorp is planning to develop and conduct a seminar concerning the challenges facing Brothers and Sisters who are now in or thinking about retirement. Is retirement in the Lord's work an option? Why not view this time of life as a tremendous opportunity to serve the Lord? How can one's accumulated experience in the Truth be utilized and passed on to the next generation? How do you go about incorporating the realities of health, wealth, skills, location and obligations? How might a support network be established and leveraged?

If you are interested in this initiative, contact Tom at 905-637-0970 or tomthorp@look.ca

Brother Vic Nance is seeking to develop and convene a weekend workshop that begins to address the issues and demands facing young married couples. What are some the real-life challenges of married life? What are the relevant Bible principles to take into consideration? How might they be applied? What are you to do when things go wrong? What practical resources are available?

If you are interested in this idea, contact Vic at 830-589-2769 or vic@sitm.com

Brother Bobby Morrissette is hoping to solicit and publish the many excellent ideas that Brothers and Sisters have found useful when seeking out those brethren who have left the ecclesia. What are the Scripture principles involved? What is an effective process? What is expected of us? What works / doesn't work? What helpful literature is available?

If you are interested in this effort, contact Bobby at 804-233-4169 or rrmorrissette@juno.com
